WHISTLEBLOWING

Chiggiato S.p.a. provides the opportunity for employees, partners, suppliers and stakeholders in general (such as shareholders, people with administrative, management, control, supervisory or representation functions) to report significant illicit conduct pursuant to Legislative Decree. 231/2001, offenses that fall within the scope of application of European Union or national acts relating to the sectors identified by the Legislative Decree. 24/2023 or violations of company procedures through a dedicated platform that guarantees the confidentiality of the identity of the whistleblower.

The objective of adopting this tool is to prevent the creation of non-conformities or irregularities within the organization, but also to involve all stakeholders and the public, in general, in an activity to combat illegality, through a active and responsible participation.

REPORTS

The reports are received by a person within the organization who assumes the role of Manager of whistleblowing reports, who undertakes to manage them confidentially and not to reveal the identity of the reporter without his consent, in compliance with current regulatory provisions . Any personal data present are processed in compliance with current privacy legislation.

WHY REPORT

Employees or other individuals are in a position to know of non-compliance or irregularities that the company is unable to identify in a timely manner. It is therefore important that the company has the possibility to verify and possibly correct these anomalies. Responsible reporting, made in good faith and in the interest of the common good, can allow the company to timely intercept, remedy and prevent illegitimate behavior and irregular actions of corruption, fraud or other non-conformities which represent violations of the company code of ethics and are harmful to the company and possibly to third parties.

PROTECTION AND RESPONSIBILITY OF THE SUBJECTS INVOLVED

The report must be made in good faith, detailed and detailed. in any case, the information will be treated according to confidentiality criteria. Furthermore, the whistleblower in good faith is protected from possible retaliation, as per current legislation.

During the verification and assessment of possible non-compliance activities, the individuals subject to the reports could be involved or notified of this activity, but, in no case, will a proceeding be initiated solely because of the report in the absence of concrete evidence regarding the content of it.

It is the responsibility of the reporter to report in good faith and in line with the declared spirit of this procedure. Reports that are manifestly unfounded, opportunistic and/or made for the sole purpose of harming the reported person or subjects affected by the report will not be taken into consideration and will be subject to disciplinary sanctions and/or judicial proceedings.
